AlphaCorp - A Network of Ideas and Innovation

The last couple days, I have been hammered by this notion of what is to come on the internet…

Whether it be the topic of darknets and net neutrality, wimax, blogging, I am not sure.  Then I started to look at what  blogs I have been reading; which are all of yours..  I rarely leave one of your sites without commenting in some way as you well know :0)  I have been developing and plan to build about 6 forums related to the topics mentioned above.  And then last night, I asked myself why? 

So this morning, I thought about the future of the internet and the space that we all occupy.  How it will be changed, how it will grow, a digital landscape if you will.  What we need to do to preserve privacy, to stay current with technology, to alert people of great software applications, generally speaking - to deliver good information to people who are otherwise in need of it.

Garry’s article last night on developing a private network.  Reading all of your blogs everyday.  You are fantastic writers and deliver great content.  Each of you have a niche, but when you get right down to it, as a whole, technology is basically summed up between the 20 or so blogs we all read everyday.

About a year ago, I came up with this concept called ‘AlphaCorp’ which is basically a community devoted to ideas, innovation and information concerning technology and business.  I never had an application for it though.  I just always thought that it was a great idea but was to big for me to do anything with.  And it is, or was at least.

I realized that this idea, is what is taking place right now.  It is the network of blogs, forums, (and I am going to say wikis) that we look to every day for information.  Our network of friends.  What if we could develop it to a grand scale and form an idea network?  Not for profit, but for learning and spreading the knowledge that we each already comment on everyday concerning technology and the Internet!!

With that being said, I am going to take the next couple of days and get through building this concept a little more.  I just wanted to figure out your thoughts.  I know that a lot of you don’t have time to do anything extra or change in any way what you wrte about, and I don’t want you to, but I think assembling a ‘community of ideas’ would be an extremely powerful concept.  It is bound to start somewhere, why not start with us?
