Apple Boy Versus Microsoft Man
Apple Mac OS versus Microsoft Windows has been debated for almost twenty years. Today I found this video on youtube.com, Apple Boy Versus Microsoft Man. I have actually seen a few of this bits on television. The video was fun to watch… I never saw all twelve of these commercials, and also if you actually listen to what is being said, and try to break away from the humor aspect of the commercial, these points about Apple computer are very true. Enjoy the video! Share your thoughts after watching… what kind of computer do you like better, Apple or PC?
Ok aside from the including the video, I do want to include a few links I found that do talk more indepth about this debate.

These references are amazing, especially the first one. I was surprised to discover that this site started in 2004. It has such an old school design like sites back in the 90’s, it’s crazy. Whether you think it’s a disadvantage or advantage, I am stuck in the old school .com era. I love old sites, and the old school html design. Anyway, jmusheneauz.com is my favorite of the three references. Tons of info there… and a lot of hard work has gone into that site, do check it out. Here are stats on the site.

If you are into buying books, save a little bit of cash and purchase these books online using Amazon.com instead of buying at the mall or bookstore. Do you like movies? Pirates of Silicon Valley (1999). The revolution came when we weren’t looking. It happened in a garage. In a dorm room. In countless hours of effort, imagining and intrigue. Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates were changing the way the world works, lives and communicates. Furthermore, the movie is a biographical look at the men who founded Apple and Microsoft and a look at the early days of the companies. Noah Wyle and Joey Slotnick portray Apple founders Steve Job and Steve Wozniak. Anthony Michael Hall and John DiMaggio play Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. The film attempts to compare the two firm’s operations and differences in the founder’s operations.
Fire in the Valley: The Making of the Personal Computer I believe that this is the book that the writers and producers of The Pirates of Silicon Valley heavily used to aid in creation of their film. This is not a computer book but rather a fascinating history of the personal computer. Even if the computer isn’t your thing, and you don’t remember arguing with Commodore 64, Apple II, and TRS-80 owners over whose computer was the best, you’ll find the writing engaging and the subject matter more than entertaining. Who would have thought a bunch of misfit nerds could make history?
Apple Confidential 2.0: The Definitive History of the World’s Most Colorful Company offers extensive insider details about Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, John Sculley, Gilbert Amelio, Bill Gates, and other major players whose lives were (and are) intertwined with Apple’s history. Owen Linzmayer’s Apple Confidential is an unofficial history of Apple and a great read. Along the way, we also learn about lesser-known figures whose stories have remained hidden in the Apple myth: Ronald Gerald Wayne, for example, who was actually a partner with Wozniak and Jobs in the original incarnation of the company, but who sold his share when he realized he would be financially vulnerable if it should fail.
