Will it violate adsense TOS?

You could possibly run into some trademark issues with the laptop prominently displaying the Dell logo. Its a good idea though. Offers some inbound links for you as well

Violate TOS, honestly… I am not sure? I guess it could be challenged. The Adsense code is not altered in anyway. The code is inserted into a table cell and the other cells surrounding it are nothing but pieces of a picture broken up evenly. Read the TOS and comment back and let me know…
Jason, yes… agreed. I didn’t think about the Dell Logo… however, in a way they get free advertising… but technically, I would say you are right. I just did a quick google image search for a laptop and it pulled up, so I used it…
Mainly… though, the objective here is to plant a seed or two for people to start thinking a little bit out of the box and to create different and unique ways to present their code. Everyone including their grandmother can identify Adsense code on other sites… so my angle here is if you really spice it up a bit, make it look interesting people might be more likely to follow through on a click? But who knows… for me it was something fun to do.
Thanks for the comments… Shivaranjan, if you get a moment look into the Adsense TOS and let me know.
Talk to you soon,
Garry

It’s a neat idea for adsense integration. Really, I don’t see how this would violate the TOS. You haven’t altered the ad code in any way.

Whoa…. Kelli, nice work on your adsense blending. That is totally a 10 out of 10 when it comes to blending the adsense code. It took me way long to realize that was adsense. Thanks for the support on intergration. Initially when I made the post I didn’t think twice about it being against TOS… but then Shiva got me to thinking…

@Jason
“Running into trade mark issue” great observation actually it is possible.

It draws “undue attenetion” to the ad, in my opinion: From the TOS:
“Web pages may not include incentives of any kind for users to click on ads. This includes encouraging users to click on the ads or to visit the advertisers’ sites as well as drawing any undue attention to the ads. For example, your site cannot contain phrases such as “click here,” “support us,” “visit these links,” or other similar language that could apply to any ad, regardless of content. These activities are strictly prohibited in order to avoid potential inflation of advertiser costs. In addition, publishers may not bring unnatural attention to sites displaying ads or referral buttons through unsolicited mass emails or unwanted advertisements on third-party websites. Publishers are also not permitted to use deceptive or unnatural means to draw attention to or incite clicks on referral buttons.”

Well there you have it, thanks BJ. So, at this point… I would not do this. A great idea yes, but clearly against the rules. So do this at your own risk, and you will not see anymore posts from me displaying these enhancements. Thanks again BJ.
However, I can’t help but mention again… Kelli’s site, you need to check it out… she is doing a great job with her Adsense code.
