I remember when I got my first computer, the first thing I wanted to do was figure out how to make one of those cool pages I’d seen all over the Internet.  I quickly found out that it wasn’t cheap, and for someone who knew absolutely nothing about the Internet, I thought I’d be on the outside looking in forever.  That’s when I found out about free web pages. 

It didn’t take me long to get my first webpages up and online.  Of course, I had to deal with advertisments from the hosting company, but I didn’t care.  I was happy just to be online and making a statement about myself for the whole world to see.  The best part about it was that I learned alot about designing a website, what it takes to write on the Internet, and many other cool things.

If you’re new to the Internet, and are looking for a way to get yourself established, this is the way to go.  Once you’ve gotten all the little details figured out, then I suggest you move onto a real site.  But for just getting started, a free website is the way to go.
