I don’t think Internet Explorer or Firefox are one more safe than the other…there are predators to both out there.

I haven’t had any issues with my versions of either browser. I do think it is a resource issue more than the browser’s fault.

Software isn’t being made for older systems anymore.

The thing is, if it is a Vista system, 9 out of 10 times, it is already starved for resources out of the box. Then adding memory hungry Firefox doesn’t make matters any better. Firefox is a resource hog.

Internet Explorer is a safer browser by far… but it is one of those situations where there is more interest in trying to find vulnerabilities in IE compared to FF because of the wide stream numbers using IE compared to FF. If Firefox was subjected to as many hacks as IE the browsers true colors would really start to show. Sames goes with Linux Distros compared to Vista or even an up to date XP install. :)

Thanks for dropping by and leaving the comment. Very true on the software note. There are tons of great systems out there that would do a very great job for Internet surfing and checking email… unfortunately, people like Microsoft have to make a mountain out of a mole hill and cause people to purchase computers powerful enough to power a small city in order to run their software.
