Cool Mommy Blogs That Make The World Go Around

February 8th, 2008 Written by Garry Conn

Mommy bloggers are awesome people to align with and make friends. Seriously, you don’t ever want to piss a mommy blogger off. If you do, then you’ll get so much hate comments from their army of one it’ll put you out of business.

Of the flipside, if you are helpful, kind and make friends with mommy bloggers, they in return can help reward you by mentioning you on their powerful blogs. For those that don’t know… or perhaps just didn’t make the connections, mommy bloggers are very powerful and influential bloggers.

Their opinions about you and your blog publicly can make you or break you. I have often said in the past there are two entities on the Internet: Google and The Mommy Blogger Niche.

Having that said, I want to recognize some of the really cool mommy bloggers blogs I have discovered and a few of their most recent post that I enjoyed reading.

  1. MakingMommyHot.com - Ruthie, a mommy who is on a mission to shape up and get healthy, recently offered a very good post that mentions 7 unhealthy foods that get mistaken for being healthy.
  2. ChristineSenter.com - Christine takes a lot of pride in her work. Recently she unveiled some information on how one can screw up a New Years resolution. Drop her a comment and encourage her to keep on blogging. Sometimes blogging can get the best of us but with some encouraging words for other bloggers, it can create motivation to keep on trucking!
  3. MomGadget.com - This is one of my favorite mommy blogs I enjoy reading. The site is authored by a very skilled blogger named, Gayla. Recently she went on a whine rant about things that go wrong. She apologized for the post, but this is what blogging is all about, so no apology needed!
  4. Home School Distractions - Joann, a stay at home mom and home school teacher, offered a very insightful post about how parents can make better use of facilities within their community for their children. This was an awesome read and I recommend you read it too.
  5. Mom of 2 Dancers - This site is authored by a gal named Ginny. In recent post that I found very informative, I learned about how folic acid can help reduce birth defects in babies.

Reading mommy blogs not only can help you with making more friends, but it can easily educate you and help you with your ventures in being the best mom or dad you can be for your kids.

Thanks for the mention Garry. It looks like the run of bad luck has finally turned around. I guess sometimes bad things have to happen to help us appreciate the good things all the more. I actually got out today and enjoyed the sunshine for a change. :)

Oh You’re not joking!! It is a beautiful day today in Tennessee! I have been outside with my toddler playing around and my son will be home from school in less than an hour and we’ll play some basketball together. :)

I can’t wait until spring! I’ll tell you that. Everything just brightens up in the spring. :)

Glad everything appears to be good in your part of Tennessee - which by the way is my Favorite state EVah! The family and I vacationed at Norse Lake a couple of years ago. Beautiful! I’m envious.

Ha Ha! Well, it’s not California, but it does the trick during Spring and Fall… Winter and Summer are kinda dreadful though. :)

Another thing I learned about you is that you’re not much about putting yourself first sometimes when its needed. I am not saying that it is totally good for people to do that, but there are times when you should. I think its the mommy in you that automatically defaults and puts (what it seems) millions of people right ahead of yourself. By the time its your turn (to deal with yourself) it doesn’t matter because you can be too tired, unmotivated or just simply not in the mood.

Needless to say, you had a rough week this week (or rather last two) but chin up and things will get better for you. :)
