As many of you know, Google bought Writely some time ago, the online word processor.  It turns out that the online application was re released Thursday night, almost secretly. 

Writely offers users the standard features you would expect in a word processor but differs in that it features online storage, collaborative editing from anywhere, and document sharing.  It will accept Microsoft Word Documents plus many other formats.

You can also post directly to blogs such as Blogger, Movable Type, and via Bloglines RSS Feeds. 

Drawbacks are grammar checking and word counts.  There is also a lack of integration with Google spreadsheets and Google’s existing accounts.  I am sure this will be corrected in time because to search giant is trying so hard to place their footprint in the Software as a Service realm.
