Info On Asymmetrical Breasts

Here is a guest post submitted in by Jennifer McDonald who talks more in depth about asymmetrical breasts. It seems that this has struck a nerve and made Google Hot Trends so Jennifer has provided some helpful information regarding that.

Asymmetrical Breasts is very common.  Most women have asymmetrical breasts in terms of shape and size.  So it is not surprising that production may also vary from one breast to another.  As other posters have mentioned, many babies have a preferred side.  This often does seem to be the left side (that was true for my children, too).

I am currently reading a fascinating book entitled “Mother Nature:  A history of mothers, infants and natural selection” by Sarah Blaffer Hrdy which mentions this phenomenon of left-breast preference. Hrdy believes it is because infants, when nursing on the left side, can hear the mother’s heartbeat and this is very comforting for them.  This is a very interesting book, by the way.
