Internet Radio Day of Silence
June 26th, is the Internet Radio Day of Silence. This day was created by Kurt Hanson who is a publisher for Radio Internet Newsletter. This was day of silence was created to protest against the retroactive royalist rate increases that might end up placing a lot of Internet ration stations out of business. In less than one month these rates are due to go up. It has been reported that Congress is not providing any help. By resorting to silence, Internet broadcasters are demonstrating what it would be like if their business were shut down.
