Only a few days after granting access to Wikipedia, yesterday China censors have pulled the plug on granting access to Wikipedia again. I just read this article titled, Wikipedia switched off in China again. A section in the article reads:

“So far it is not clear if the problems are technical or if they are part of a formal ban as there has not been a comment from the Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Information Industry.”

What are your thoughts? Do you think it is right for China to make a formal ban preventing their citizens from viewing Wikipedia? Are their any situations where you feel that it is proper for a country to ban access to sites like Wikipedia from their citizens? Your thoughts and comments are welcome.
