JoeCartoon.com is a fun site that has been online since 1997. I have been visiting it since 1999. It has been tons of fun watching JoeCartoon.com grow through the years. The site features cartoon animations, flash movies, and games featuring many oddball characters that the author created. There are also screen-savers and links to various humorous flash movie sites.

JoeCartoon.com has quite a few classics that have gained a huge amount of interest over the years such as, The Frog Blender and SuperFly. Most of the cartoons featured on the site are interactive, and depend on your input to complete the cartoon. In The Frog Blender, you are giving the opportunity to grind a frog up in a blender and increase the blender speed. As you increase the speed the frog in the blender makes different comments directed to you. It’s quite funny. With the site being online since 1997, there is quite a bit of content there. It could take you while to view it all. And with all the stupid advertisements, you could be there all day. There are hundreds of custom made cartoons and new ones are created on a very regular basis. At one point in time, I would say the site was one to bookmark, but not anymore. I wouldn’t waste the time. JoeCartoon does have a blog, but links to the cartoons on the blog still force you to view paid commercials!

I do have to mention though, I haven’t visited the site in about a year, and during that time, I noticed the quality of the site totally take a dive for the worst. It was heavily infested with advertisements and paid commercials, and today isn’t much better… Maybe the owner of the site will read this post and take this into consideration and tone back the ads, because it is close to impossible to view any of the author’s work. I have personally had to sit through close to an hour of advertisement page loading and viewing just to get to the two cartoons that I mentioned here in this article. Luckily, for people viewing this article, I have pulled these two cartoons from the site and you can view them without having to suffer through the stupid advertisements. As for me, this officially will probably be the last time I visit the site again. That is sad to say, because of site design and the choice of infesting the site with too many advertisements has caused a person that has been visiting for close to 8 years to decide to never visit again. That’s too bad… because the content in the site is way cool. I would give the content a personal rating of about 8 out of 10. So, that is terrible to see someone work so hard over the years to produce excellent content, but have it rejected due to the choice of crapping up the site. Live and learn… and because of this, I think I will tone down a few of my ads.
