Move It All With U-Haul
I hate moving. I’ve just spent the past week helping my mother move and I’m tired of it. I wish she would have just hired a moving company to do this for her, or at least went down and rented a U-Haul. It would have been so much easier to just put everything into one load and move her to the new house. Instead, we’ve made a hundred trips and wasted a ton of gas.
It’s not easy moving from a house you’ve lived in for many years. But when you’re trying to move that many years worth of memories, you find out real quick that a moving van would have been a huge help. I have a pick up, but you can only haul so many dressers and beds in one load. With a U-Haul, we could have had all the dressers, bed, tables, and plants moved in a matter of a few hours instead of an entire week.
Fortunately, we’re almost done and we won’t be doing this again for quite some time. But I swear that the next time someone in my family says they’re getting ready to move, they’d better rent a moving van. I’ll carry as much as I can, but I’m not doing this again.
