It never ceases to amaze me with the things that you can do with the Internet and other forms of modern technology. I am a big pizza eater. I’ll admit that it’s not the healthiest thing that you can eat, but I am sorry, it is just so damn easy.
When you’ve got a big family with three kids and yet another on the way, sometimes the parents just need a break and that is when ordering pizza kicks in. With many things, I have subscribed to PizzaHut. com’s email newsletter.
I don’t know why I subscribe to it, I guess because I want to know about the current specials and deals they have running.
Today I received an email from PizzaHut that explains how quickly and easily you can order pizza using your mobile phone. Like picking up the phone wasn’t easy enough. Sometime ago, PizzaHut made it possible to place order direct on their web site. And if you think that wasn’t easy enough, now you can send PizzaHut a text message with your order.
So where is the world coming to? A hundred years ago, you’d have to go out into the wilderness to kill your food, haul it home, process it and then consume it. Today, we can push a few buttons and have hot cooked and unhealthy food delivered to your home.
The Internet and technology may be surreal but it doesn’t really promote a healthy lifestyle does it? What are your thoughts? Have you ever ordered a pizza over the Internet or by text message? Is this something that you think you will do in the near future? Is this really all that much easier than just picking up the phone and calling your order in?
