Pirate Master Cancelled

CBS has cancelled their new reality TV show titled, Pirate Master. As much as this doesn’t come to surprise me, it does disappoint me a little bit. I am a reality TV show junkie. I love reality TV… but even for me, I have to admit that new reality TV shows are appearing way too often. It seems like there is a new reality TV show appearing everyday. And with Pirate Master, this is no exception. However, it does disappoint me, because Pirate Master was cool. But, I have to agree, it was probably a good decision to pull the show off the air. I personally have never watched the show on TV. I only discovered the show from visiting CBS.com.

I watch all the episodes from their website. I have never heard any buzz being talked about the show. Pirate Master was created by the same guy who created the popular and what I would believe to be the original reality TV show, Survivor. His name is Mark Burnett. I really do feel bad for the outcome, I was a fan of Pirate Master and I strongly believe if the show was created a few years ago, it would have been a success. It is a very creative game… I would have loved to play. Give me an opportunity to escape out of my daily life and walk, eat, live and act like a pirate… sign me up! Where’s the loot. Have reality TV shows finally gone too far? What is the next generation of television? I see game shows making a huge come back, but these are getting worn out just as bad as reality TV. For what ever the reason may be, with the cancellation of Pirate Master, it has triggered a high volume of sales in copies of the famous DVD series titled, Survivor Vanuatu - The Complete Season.
