Purchasing the right camping equipment

Well, it’s almost camping season, and it’s time to start looking for new camping equipment. As someone who does quit a bit of camping, I can tell you that it’s important to have the right stuff for any condition. Our Boy Scouts went on a campout this past weekend, and they found out that it’s still cold this time of year.

My son got a new sleeping bag for Christmas, and he was very glad to have it last weekend. His sleeping bag is rated for 20* below zero, so he didn’t really notice the cold as they slept that night. However, several of the other boys, as well as a couple of the leaders, nearly froze.

If you’re going to venture into the great outdoors, it’s important to have the proper equipment. If you’re prepared for any kind of weather, you’ll have a wonderful adventure.
