Tips on Adding Google Adsense Into Your Wordpress Theme
Hey everyone! I created this post because I think that there might be a need for it. Today I was asked "How did I add my YPN Code to the top of every post?". So in this post I want to describe a few different ways you can add your Google Adsense code, YPN code, or others similiar.
In this post you will learn how to do the following:
- How to add Adsense Code or similiar using text widgets in the sidebar widgets tab in a widgets ready theme.
- How to add Adsense Code or similiar directly into your template .php files.
I must warn you… this is going to be a long post. But don't get nervous about that… its just that I like to explain things step to step… I am sure that I could skip out a lot of info and you would still know how to do this… but I want to make sure that if you follow these steps you will be successful with adding your code into your theme. Please sit down, grab a Pepsi and carefully read my post and follow my steps… if you do, you will have your code added into your theme in less than five minutes. If you invest the time in reading this post, then little time will be needed in your execution of adding the code. Read on…
To begin with, If you are using a theme that is Widgets ready… there is a very easy way to add your code into your theme. Before we start doing this, you need to check and see if your theme is Widgets ready. View the image below to see an example of my Admin CP. If the Sidebar Widgets tab is there, then you know that your current theme is Widgets ready.
