Tokyo Shinjuku Kabukicho Loop PGR3 Xbox 360 Track Information and Stats

I have been playing PGR3 for awhile now… I am pretty good at it and enjoy playing it. Anyway for the longest time, I have been wanting to take the time needed to figure out the distance of each track. I want to know this for a few reasons. One off hand is I want to test the accuracy of this game… At this point, I haven’t researched any of the tracks. I don’t know if this tracks are real or fictional. If there are a few that are real, I would like to find out the actual length of the track and then compare it to my calculated distance of the track on the game.

So far the first track I have calculated the distance is, Tokyo Shinjuku Kabukicho Loop. Before creating this post, I researched a little bit and believe that this must be a fictional track. I searched the results page of Google Keyword, “Tokyo Shinjuku Kabukicho Loop” and did not return any results indicating that this track is real. So in this case, I can not compare if the calculated distance on the real track is the same or close to the distance of the track in the game.

Track Length =
9328 feet/1.76 miles.

Complete Lap 1:46.63 @ 60 MPH

Vehicle: Bentley Continental GT

In Playtime mode, seclect Race Against The Clock, select Change Location and choose the track you want, after selecting the track then select Start Race. When the race begins the program will put you into a rolling start making the first lap useless. In order to correctly calculate the distance of the track, you need a vehicle to maintain 60 MPH for one lap. If at any moment the car goes over or under 60 MPH that time will not be accurate and that lap can not be counted. A rolling start puts the vehicle leaving off the starting line well over 60 MPH giving the laptime a slight jump. Quickly make your way thru the track on lap one as quick as you can. Once you come out of the last right turn into the final straight, reduce your car speed to a constant 60 MPH by down shifting your vehile into 2nd gear (Oh forgot to mention, you need to Start Race using manual transmission). Using the Class E, Bentley Continental GT, 60 MPH can be constantly maintained when you drive in 2nd gear with the engine 100% red lined. Cross over the start line again in lap two passing over at 60 MPH and maintaining that speed by staying in 2nd gear @ 100% RPM’s the entire lap and the result should be 1:46… give or take a few 10ths. My time was 1:46.63 on lap two, 1:46.57 on lap three, and 1:46.59 on lap four. To calculate the distance of the track I knew that the vehicle would travel 5,280 feet in exactly 60 seconds… the time it took to make a complete lap was 106 seconds. Knowing this information tells me that the track is 9,328 feet or 1.76 Miles.

Now if this track was real (it might be, still not sure), I could easily get the stats on it by searching and locating the offical website of the track. I would compare the reals stats to my calculated stats and see if there was a difference. If there is a major difference, then the designers of PGR3 suck ass and don’t keep things real! If I knew how to program video games, that would be one of the first things I would make sure would be accurate.

And so the hunt in on…. Each track I do, I will post it here! Enjoy! :)
