Who is The Oldest Blogger Online?
So far from what I can tell, Donald Crowdis might be the oldest blogger online. Mr. Donald Crowdis was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on December 24, 1913 and was the first host of the popular CBC Television series The Nature of Things. For 25 years he was the curator of the Nova Scotia Museum (1940-1965). After World War II, Crowdis spearheaded an effort which led to the construction of the Halifax Memorial Library in 1951 (now the Spring Garden Road Memorial branch of the Halifax Public Libraries system). Beginning in 1965, Crowdis was a member of the executive team that oversaw the establishment of the Ontario Science Centre. Crowdis is also one of the last living survivors of the Halifax Explosion. He currently lives in Toronto, and writes a blog named Don To Earth, making him one of the world’s oldest bloggers.
Links of Interest:
Mr. Crowdis, started his blog site in July of 2006. He has had his page running for close to six months. Last month, towards the end of November is when his site started gaining a lot of interest. He is an excellent writer and I am happy to see that he is capturing the interest of so many people. For that matter, I am adding his site to my blogroll and invite you to pay him a visit as well.

I did find Allan Loof, who is age 94. His site can be found here. It is not in English, so I am not sure what the site is about. I know I could translate it… but I am not interested in doing that at this time. At any rate, so far it seems that this might be the oldest blogger online.

It seems that you have already written an article about Donald Crowdis on your site… not sure why you would expect me to provide a link directly to your page if you aren’t willing to do the same for me? Doesn’t seem fair now does it.
Oh wait, you are just spamming… I’m sorry. My bad! Your spamming links have been removed. You are definately welcome to comment here on BTI, but please don’t spam my site. I welcome anyone to drop a URL here and there, but the people that do, also care about other things in life, other than flooding blog sites with their URL.
